A comprehensive and updated list of all eSIM-compatible smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches.
eSIM adoption has exploded. As of 2026, over 80% of new smartphone models ship with eSIM support, and many flagship devices have dropped the physical SIM card slot entirely (starting with iPhone 14 in the US market).
How to check your device
The quickest way: go to Settings β Cellular (iOS) or Settings β Network & internet β SIM cards (Android). If you see an 'Add eSIM' or 'Download SIM' option, you're good to go.
Supported iPhone models
All iPhone XS, XS Max, XR and newer support eSIM. iPhone 14 (US only), iPhone 15, and iPhone 16 models are eSIM-only in the United States.
Supported Android models
Google Pixel 3 and later, Samsung Galaxy S20 and later (S20, S21, S22, S23, S24), Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 and later, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 and later, and most recent OnePlus, Motorola Razr, and Huawei models.
Important note: carrier lock
Even if your device supports eSIM, it must be carrier-unlocked to use plans from other providers. Contact your carrier if you're unsure β most unlock devices automatically after the contract period ends.
